The day we left San Diego to head to Pasadena, we had planned on stopping at the beach for a few hours. We got a late start so decided just to drive for awhile, then ended up stopping to see some friends, so we almost ran out of time. We stopped at a beach in Dana Point just so the kids could play in the ocean for a few minutes. It was beautiful and the kids had a blast. They found a crustacean, they waded in the waves, they found shells and rocks with Mike, and of course got a little wetter than they planned or that we were prepared for. It was all worth it. A perfect little break in another long day of driving.
